Race Day Checklist

Need to gear up for the race? Here are some of the essentials that will help you reach the finish line sooner and with more comfort.

Swim gear:

1. Swimsuit, 1 Piece Tri Suit or Triathlon-Shorts
2. Goggles (comfort and leak proof tested)
3. Swim Cap (usually provided by race)
4. Wetsuit (unless you're racing in a warm-water triathlon, i.e. water temp above 76 degrees F)
5. Anti-chafing substance for wetsuit (bodyglide, tri-slide)

Bike gear:

1. Helmet (required by USAT rules)
2. Bike Tools
3. Sunglasses
4. Tri shorts, or Cycling shorts
5. Bike Jersey, Singlet or Triathlon-specific top
6. Gloves (optional)
7. Sports Sunscreen (water & sweat resistant)
8. Spare tubes, Frame Pump, Co2 with Adapter
9. Aero water Bottle, Bento Box Carrier, etc.

Running gear:

1. Running Shorts or Tri-Shorts
2. Running Top, Tech-T or Singlet
3. Mesh Running Hat or Breathable Visor
4. Speed Laces or Bungee Laces for Shoes
5. Reflective Race Number Belt or Reflective Tape ( required for Full Ironman Distance)
6. Fuel Belt
