We may only be halfway through 2013, but that hasn’t stopped Felt from releasing the brand new 2014 Z100 to us at Triathlon LAB!
Like its 2013 brother, the 2014 Felt Z100 has a 6061 aluminum frame paired with a Felt Endurance Road UHC Carbon Fork, making this bike a lightweight, responsive, well-rounded machine “that can speed through flats and climb to new heights.”
Now, unlike its 2013 brother, the 2014 Felt Z100 comes with the new Shimano group, Claris. This entry-level groupset comes with an 8-speed setup, giving a quality feel for new riders. The z100 also comes with a 50-34T compact crankset, helping new riders get used to pedaling a fast cadence. The 11-32T rear cassette is pretty entry-level friendly, too.
Another great thing about this bike is the Felt Supergel Tape that comes wrapped on the handlebars; this tape is amazingly shock-absorbent, and amazingly comfortable.
And here’s a few more pics to whet your appetite:
What do you think of the new 2014 Felt Z100? Love the new color scheme? Miss the 2013 blue paint? Dig the new Shimano group? Let us know!
